Dearest Friend,
The summer is drawing to a close. School started last week, and with it arrived immediate wintery weather. We started our new routines in the cold, wet, dark mornings. At afternoon pickup, the sunlight now feels thin and low on the horizon. It feels appropriate that such a big change would bring meteorological changes as well.
At the start of the summer, I had the grand intention to record every memorable moment in my sketchbook. However, as those moments came and went, I realized that I wanted to fully live them, and not spend them wondering if I had drawn them accurately.
So, my sketchbook pages for the summer are sparse, but the joy in living was deep.
Sending all best wishes to you as you navigate the start of autumn, whatever that entails for you.
Virtual hugs,
Jane
These look amazing and I totally love the compositions of your sketches, the colour is beautifully applied and the drawings wonderfully done. Thank you so much for sharing.
How Lucky you are
to do the Kangaroo Hop!
Life’s precious moments.
