These look amazing and I totally love the compositions of your sketches, the colour is beautifully applied and the drawings wonderfully done. Thank you so much for sharing.
Your reflections on choosing presence over perfect documentation in your sketches really resonated with me, and your sketches are stunning! I've shared this heartfelt approach in Sunday Scroll, hoping it inspires others as it did me.
Such beautiful work but you know what I love the most… the sweet expressive fingers holding the pages open. Thank you for taking these complete photos, not just cropping out the edges and only showing us the drawing. ♥️
Oh thanks! I’m so glad you like them. And my fingers. I like to show “life” through my drawings. And that includes the whole sketchbook and my fingers too!
I have my pocket sketchbook. And a palette with daubs of watercolour paint already squeezed on it in various colours. A pencil. Two pens (fine liner and Japanese brush). And a paintbrush or two with a bottle of water.
Thanks for your summer sketches! I love your full moon and the kangaroo hop! I also didn't create much over July and August, spent my time outdoors in the garden, activities with family and friends. Enjoying the summer warmth!
Yes! Well observed! I find it often takes someone unfamiliar with a language to really notice all the nuances of each word. Native speakers take words for granted. Thank you for noticing!
A question. ...drawing to a close is intentional? English is not my mother tongue, and I couldn't help but observe that your Substack is about drawing :)
Is it on purpose? I think it's fascinating how words can have multiple meanings.
I learned a new idiom today. Thanks.
About your post. Yes living the life and enjoy it in the moment is better than make memories of it.

Ooh I love the scale of these!
Thanks so much! They all fit in the palm of my hand. ;-)
Amazing and perfect!

Love these Jane. Thanks for sharing. What does your traveling art kit/watercolors look like?

Beautiful work ! I am an artist too … but staying motivated to do it everyday is commendable! Keep at it !
I can’t manage every day. But my intention is every day. So I manage to draw almost every day. I’m happy if it’s most days. 💕
I love these!!
Thank you so much!
