1) I haven't cried yet today (It's 5:00 PM so there's still time!)
2) I am serenaded most days by blackbirds, bluetits, crows, seagulls and magpies
3) My 11 year old is having her first foray into after school adventures with her friend, sans adult! And they are having fun, mostly eating chips and hanging out in the park.
Love this ☺️ I was sort of cranky and very tired this evening after a long few days of work, so I decided to go on a solo walk in the sunshine to the park near my house. I sat at a picnic table and watched dogs play and birds hop around, and I drew in my sketchbook. I ended up doing that for about an hour. It was so enjoyable, and I felt a lot better afterwards, just taking that time to myself, to fill my own depleted cup.
The osprey have returned, and the other day they were sitting 'shoulder to shoulder' at the edge of their nest high on the ball field light post. (I know they mate for life, and I've never seen them like this before — it was so very sweet!) They return year after year to have babies — some years successful and others not. It is always good news when I see their return!
I shared artwork for the first time on a coworking call yesterday which pushed me out of my comfort zone and I felt proud to be putting myself out there to more engagement with others. ❤️
Feeling very accomplished this week. Mowing done, tick, replaced water filters and UV filter, tick, laundry done, tick and hopefully the rest of the wood being stacked today:-)
Actually I have really been thinking on trying to find some good news to focus on. I won't argue that currently it is difficult (especially for a worst case scenario guy like me). I needed to go rummaging through the chaos that currently makes up my daily life. Lo and Behold there are golden nuggets of happiness.
1. Enjoying regular evening walks with my wife. Just a pleasant neighborhood stroll after work.
2. Spent the weekend with my mom. We live far apart and she is alone, so it was great to see her.
3. The opportunity to cross something off this year's bucket list has arisen. I dropped the ball last year getting registered, so I didn't think it would happen. It means another project (the 100 day project) gets paused, which normally would bother me. But not this time.
Thanks for the post and the reminder that not all is gloom and doom.
Some good news: we've had over 3" of much-needed rain; our 23-week-old pups learned how to do their business outside in the rain; and, those selfsame pups have learned how to jump up on the couch to snuggle down between us as we watch tv in the evening.
My autistic son got his first letter grade in PE yesterday, after years of trying to get him to participate in Phys Ed classes. It was an A!
That is absolutely fantastic news!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love the gold glimmers Jane!
Good news huh, hmmmm...

That is lots of good news! And tears are just fine. I often have lots of reasons to cry too. It means we feel deeply.

Yes! That sounds so refreshing. And soul nourishing.
One of my cats, Freddie, gave me a really long lapsit ☺️
That sounds like the best!
I go to a weekly weightlifting class for women and last night I squatted 150 lbs, a personal record.
My daughter and her youth group are flying to Puerto Rico for a service trip next month. The church is graciously paying for my daughter's ticket.
That’s incredible! I applaud your strength. And I hope your daughter has a meaningful and transformative experience

Amazing! All things to celebrate!
I was with my five-year old grandson when he saw lightning for the first time yesterday. Shock and awe!!!
That’s the best!!!

I also live far away from family. It’s so wonderful when we see them!
I bought myself flowers yesterday!
Yeah!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 🌷
1. Spending 3 days with my mum on a big bookfare.
2. Sun warming my Face.
3. A Cup of camonmille tea in the evening that makes me feel like a Cup of rooibus drawing from 19.12.24
Ooh! I love camomile tea!

Ooh! Fantastic news. Positively raining with blessings.
